Ebru painting is a traditional Turkish art of creating colorful and dreamy patterns on water, and then transferring the painting to paper, silk or some other materials with 600 years of history.
At Mosaic Art Studio, you will learn about the history and mystery of Ebru painting with several different painting methods.
It is a very peaceful method of painting with unlimited possibilities where you sprinkle the colours on water to make your beautiful, random, and unique patterns.
In this workshop, you will try different colour combinations and designs on paper first until you confident to make your final art-piece with hand stitched Silk

About Artist
Musa, an Ebru artist from Turkey, is engaged in the career of cultural communication and culture exchange. Musa started to learn Ebru painting in his High School period, but he suspended practicing for a while after came to Mainland China to study in a university. However, he was encouraged to restart practicing Ebru when he came to Hong Kong for a cultural exchange activity during sophomore summer vacation. Since then, in order to let Ebru and traditional Turkish culture known by more people, Musa devoted a lot of time in practicing and performing Ebru. At the same time, because of his Ebru art and fluent Chinese speaking, many people became his friends, and some of them even cooperated with him to combine Chinese traditional art and Ebru together, which led to quite encouraging results of culture communication. Besides Ebru painting, Musa is also good at performing traditional Turkish instruments, like Ney and Saz.
